To us this means that however we want this community to run starts at the top, which means we set the example, define the fundamentals and execute a game plan that reflects our goals. To do this we have a steering committee that is a group of five of our referees who discuss, weigh and make decisions that affect our group moving forward. They are also there in case we need to intervene with disputes, disciplinary issues and membership status. We believe in a democratic process, and this is our small example of putting our words into action. 

For our team this means that we all operate by the same ethical standards on the court, that we follow and understand the fundamentals. Our goal as referees is to provide players a great experience on the court that reflects fair play, good sportsmanship, and to appreciate the opportunity to participate in a great sport.

We’ve been involved in this sport for many years, we love it and our referees reflect a similar attitude. As a group we have an opportunity to grow and make the experience that much better.
