POSTS BRODIE REC LEAGUE Good news for all of our referees who would like a longer season, more games, and possibly more challenging games. We are working with this nation wide recreation league to provide officials for their basketball games in Calgary. This league runs for up to 11 months of the year, and 1 evening each week. The games are on Wednesday evenings and will start as early as 7:30pm ( 3 game evening ) and finish at 10:30pm. If there are only 2 games, then the first game will be at 8:30pm, and the last game will finish at 10:30pm. This is not for everybody, as this league…

POSTS BASKETBALL IS BACK IN CALGARY Post Archives Not only is it back, but it came roaring back with new schools, new teams and an intent to get back what it had lost over the last few years. There have been some casualties of the COVID pandemic, one being the pool of referees that we have to work with. It’s not just basketball that has been hard hit, but all organized sports have seen a large decline in the number of available officials.
